About FURA
Empowering Communities, One Act at a Time - Discover our mission, vision, and the passionate team behind our impact.
About Us – FURA
At FURA, we believe that every individual especially children and youth deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive, no matter their circumstances.
Initially, we focused on giving back through food and blanket to support those in need. However, we soon found our true calling in advocating for mental health and raising awareness around its importance. Join us on this journey as we strive to create a supportive environment for everyone.
We work to break down barriers that hold people back through our four core pillars:
Our Four Pillars
Mental Health
Nurturing resilience and self-worth.
Education & Innovation
Opening doors to knowledge and creativity.
Homeless Support
Providing dignity, warmth, and nourishment.
Women's Empowerment
Creating pathways for independence and leadership.
We donate books to spark curiosity and imagination. We organize youth-led educational programs to inspire innovation from a young age. We conduct food drives and distribute blankets, clothing, and essentials to support families and individuals in need. We advocate for and deliver mental health programs that create safe spaces for emotional healing and resilience. And we empower women and girls with the skills, mentorship, and confidence to lead fulfilling, self-sustaining lives.
Founded on compassion and community, FURA is committed to both urgent relief and long-term solutions — equipping people not only with resources, but also with the inspiration and skills to shape their own futures.
By partnering with schools, local organizations, volunteers, and donors, we create a stronger, healthier, and more hopeful tomorrow.
Because at FURA, we're not just giving — we're nurturing futures.
About the Founder

Ashrita Reddy Kancharakuntla
Founder of FURA
Ashrita Reddy Kancharakuntla, the founder of FURA, is currently a senior with a deep passion for community service, youth empowerment, and creating meaningful impact. Witnessing firsthand how lack of access to books, food, warmth, opportunities for women, and emotional support can limit potential, Ashrita was inspired to create a platform that addresses these needs holistically.
FURA was established in 2022 with the belief that meaningful change begins with small, purposeful acts of kindness — placing a book in a child's hands, providing a meal to a hungry family, offering a warm blanket to someone in need, creating opportunities for women to thrive, or engaging in a conversation that helps a young person feel valued and understood.
While balancing her studies and personal commitments, Ashrita dedicated her time and energy to building FURA into a community-driven, youth-led initiative that not only provides resources but also educates, empowers, and inspires individuals to make a difference and pursue their passions.
Today, FURA reflects her vision: an organization rooted in compassion, sustained by community, and driven by the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Founder's Statement
"I founded FURA with a simple yet profound belief — that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the tools, nourishment, and support to grow into their fullest potential. Too often, young minds and communities are held back not by lack of talent, but by lack of opportunity and care. Through education, we open worlds of imagination and learning. Through food and basic necessities, we nourish bodies and restore dignity. Through mental health support, we nurture resilience and hope. Through women's empowerment, we strengthen families and communities.
FURA is not just about giving; it's about restoring dignity, building confidence, and creating a future where no one feels unseen or unsupported."
— Ashrita Reddy Kancharakuntla, Founder of FURA
